Damascus Soccer Club will be holding tryouts throughout the summer for our new Fall 2010 boys' and girls' U8 and U9 Select teams. Interested players must have a date of birth on or after Aug 1, 2002 for the U8 teams, and on or after Aug 1, 2001 for the U9 teams. All sessions will be at Ovid Hazen Wells Park at 6:00 on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. We have a very experienced coaching staff who will be working with these age groups. We are looking for girls born on or after 8/1/1995 to complement our current roster. Damascus Inferno NCSL U16 Division 2 is seeking talented players for the spring season and beyond. The team is coached by Jeremy Spoales who is the varsity soccer coach at Clarksburg High School where he guided the team to the 2009 MD State Champions. Jeremy holds a USSF C license. Our assistant coach is Dave Goldstein who holds a USSF E license and has over 10 years of coaching experience. Rising U14: DSC Dynamos (U13 NCSL D3 - spring 2010) are now looking for a goalkeeper and a few field players to complete their 2010/11 (U14) roster. Interested players must have a DOB in the range 8/1/96 to 7/31/97. The Dynamos are coached by Sean Kelly who holds multiple NSCAA and USSF coaching licenses including NSCAA Premier (=USSF National 'A'), NSCAA Regional (Level 2) Goalkeeping, USSF National 'C' and USSF National Youth. The DSC U11 Boys Blast plays in NCSL. We run a year round program including team camps, winter indoor soccer or winter FUTSAL, specialized speed/agility/injury prevention training, several tournaments throughout the year and friendly matches with other teams. We provide a fun and challenging environment that stresses long term skill development. The focus is on player development in a fun, yet challenging, environment.
The DSC Blast will be having tryouts (Fall season) on Monday May 24th, Thursday June 3rd and Monday June 7th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Kings LP in Clarksburg.
